Pelham Lady Bulldogs Show Display of Strength in Weekend Play More News

October 24, 25 2009…Raymond Field, Pelham NH….Christen Calvary School, Derry NH….The Pelham U13 Girls Travel Soccer Team flexed their muscles this weekend in home and away contest vs. the Seacoast Soccer Club and the Derry Soccer Club.

Powerhouse Seacoast made a visit to Pelham on a dreary Saturday afternoon and met a buzz saw that awaited them as the Lady Bulldogs handed over a 4-0 defeat. “Our girls just wanted it more” said co-coach Kevin Walsh “Whether it was our forwards, mids or our defense, we came out and won more of the individual battles that make up the game”
Scoring for Pelham was Asha Steele (2), Shannon Walsh (1) and Morgan Pinkston (1) “Seacoast is the measuring stick of quality soccer here in New Hampshire” said co-coach Kim Walsh ”To be able to come away with a 4-0 win is a tribute to just how hard this Bulldog team played”

Pelham took to the road on Sunday to play the Derry Soccer Club and continued to find the back of the net outscoring their opponent 5-1. Pelham’s defense, led by Colleen Frey and Brooke Paradis, played an integral role by keeping the play out of the defensive end and distributing the ball forward to assist in the attack. Scoring for the Bulldogs was Shannon Walsh (1), Asha Steele (2), Lauren Anderson (1) and Abby Sheetz (1)

The Lady Bulldogs are home this weekend at Raymond Field where they will wrap up regular season play against Derry Soccer Club who will undoubtedly be seeking revenge. Game time is 2:15.
